Gates will open for the event at 5 p.m. and there will be a special Happy Hour for those that arrive at the park from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. All domestic 16 oz. drafts will be on special for just $2 during the two-hour happy hour period.
Admission for the event is $6 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. For those children that are members of the Galliker's Curve Kids' Club, admission is $2. The event is free for all 2011 Curve season ticket holders.
The music will get underway at approximately 5:30 p.m. with Eric Reitz taking the stage first, followed by Ganister, Saving Jake and then Hello Vixen. A huge fireworks show will be shot off to end the night after the bands have all finished playing and all kids have gotten the chance to run all the way around the bases.
The outfield grass will be open as well so that guests can head down on the field and play catch throughout the evening as well as partake in a variety of different activities. Guests will be able to use the T-shirt gun that is typically operated by Steamer during Curve games to try their hand at shooting down different targets to win prizes. People will also have the opportunity to visit Al Tuna's Shed behind the centerfield wall and do their best Al Tuna impersonation as they run out as if the Curve had scored a run. Kunzler Frank, the lovable and energetic hot dog that makes appearances at BCB during games, will also be on hand on Friday night to test the speed skills of youngsters.
The Galliker's Fun Zone and the Weis Playland will be open for the kids to take part in the Steamer Inflatable jump house, the basketball hoop shoot, the home run hitting game, and a variety of carnival-style skill games. Tickets are $1 per attraction in the Fun Zone and Playland with all-day wristbands available for just $8.
For the adults, Corn hole (Bean Bag Toss) boards will also be setup out on the party deck during Ballpark Blockparty 2011 and be available for play free of charge.
